Marcel has been a fantastic teacher. When Mayfield School wanted to introduce BSL as an after-school activity for the girls, we contacted Marcel who came highly recommended by people who are active within the Deaf community. After a successful introduction to BSL, he has offered us a 20-week course to learn one Unit of the accredited Level 1 BSL course with Signature. The course has been such a success that we are continuing next year with both Units 2 and 3. He has provided a fun and relaxed environment, enabling our pupils to chat with Deaf people about everyday topics
I booked Marcel to provide Deaf Awareness training for my organisation at Amazon. The training was a huge success, participants loved the training and commented on how entertaining Marcel was. We have commissioned WealdBSL and Marcel to run both deaf awareness and BSL training (Introductory and Level 1 Refresher) for our London Theatre team. The training was excellent; relevant and tailored to suit the needs of the team and the organisation. Everyone who took part said how positive and useful the sessions were. Marcel developed and ran half-day workshops with key business stakeholders to help eliminate any preconceptions and questions people may have about working with a Deaf person. The workshops were high energy, interactive, informative and useful for the teams. The feedback has been positive and we are now working with Marcel to develop further workshops and as well as BSL sign language courses.
